About Val

Houston local Artist with a passion for Art and Design. I have over 20 years of experience in the Design Industry. My use of colors, style, and texture inspired me to start creating art on canvas, recycled materials such as hardwood flooring and wood panels.

In July of 2020, I started my business Vivid Paintings by Val providing paintings, private parties, paint kits and workshops throughout the surrounding Houston areas. I use a mixture of textures and mediums to add dimension to my work.  I love to incorporate an array of acrylics, chalk paints and textures when creating. 

My paintings are creative visions based off emotions and life experiences. My art expresses love, beauty and self-discovery. My art goals are to share positive energy and beauty through my paintings while making a change or an impact in one’s day. Connecting with my community through inclusion and diversity. Believing that art is for everyone without limits.
